Creamy Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie
This smoothie was more delicious than I anticipated it to be when I was randomly throwing ingredients into the blender. A combination of smooth avocado, sweet strawberries and decadent cocoa powder make this smoothie healthy yet decadent.
I love making smoothies after a hard workout. You can add so many recovery ingredients such as nut butters, almond milk and spinach. This smoothie has flaxseed meal and almond milk to help my muscles recover.
You are going to love this smoothie. You can't taste the avocado, but it makes the smoothie thick and creamy. The classic combination of chocolate and strawberries also makes it seem like you're drinking a dessert. This smoothie would also be a great one to make for kids because it definitely does not taste healthy. I hope you enjoy!
Chocolate, Strawberry and Avocado Smoothie:
1/3 large avocado
8 frozen strawberries
5 ice cubes
1 teaspoon flaxseed meal
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
10 drops liquid stevia (optional but recommended)
- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and serve in a tall glass.
