Broiled Tilapia with a Dijon Chive Sauce
I am starting off this post by wishing all of you a happy new year! After all of the eating and drinking that I did (and I'm sure most of you did) last night, I am posting a delicious, light and healthy seafood recipe that will help you start off the new year on the right foot.
I love making fish for dinner because it cooks so fast and is so simple to prepare. This tilapia recipe is extremely easy to make and only requires a few healthy ingredients.
There are two steps to making this recipe. You first broil the tilapia until it is flaky and cooked through, and then pour some of the flavorful sauce over the top, that's it!
I hope this recipe helps you start off 2014 eating light and healthy, but not losing any of the pleasure that delicious food can bring. Enjoy!
Broiled Tilapia with a Dijon Chive Sauce:
(original recipe from: Weeknights with Giada Cookbook)
4 tilapia filets
4 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
2 tablespoons chives, chopped
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons agave
juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- Preheat the broiler to high and line a baking sheet with tin foil.
- Drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil over each filet and season both sides of the fish with salt and pepper.
- Broil for about 6-8 minutes, until the fish is flaky.
- In a small bowl combine the Greek yogurt, agave, lemon, dijon and chives. Pour the sauce over the cooked filets and serve.
